Rangger Köpfl
We like to ski our “own” mountain, Rangger Köpfl. It is a wonderfully quiet and family-friendly ski area for locals and visitors alike. And there is something special to view while you descend the mountain: a view of Innsbruck and far into the Inn valley.
The Oberperfuss ski lifts are just around the corner from our guesthouse. In only a few minutes, the new 8-seat gondola lift takes you to the heart of the Rangger Köpfl ski area. Artificial snow-making guarantees snow on the slopes that stop right at our door.
Those who find the days too short can enjoy the special ambience of night skiing. This is available every Tuesday and Friday. The lit pistes run from Stiglreith to the 8-seat gondola’s valley station.
Kühtai ski area with connection to Hochoetz
Kühtai (2,020 m) is the highest ski area in Austria. It is comprised of 44 kilometres of pistes that run for over 2,500 m. Its altitude means you can rely on snow from December to the beginning of May.
The Sellraintal-Kühtai region is characterized by its spaciousness and variety of the local Alpine landscape. The sun reaches each piste and the mountainsides offer a panoramic view of the area.
It is easy to take a pleasant ride on the free ski bus that stops in front of our guesthouse, to the lifts, or you can use the parking available.
Furthermore, the Kühtai and Hochötz ski areas have been connected since 2010 - just in case you haven’t had enough fun already.
Both young and old can learn to ski at our ski schools offering lessons taught by professionals. Instructors are selected based not only on their skiing talent, but on how well they teach. You can be sure that you will always learn something new and enjoy your time on skis more and more each day.
Even kids without skis (ages two and up) can have fun! They will meet new playmates at the "Follow me" kindergarten. Playing, making crafts and singing are all a part of a day that whizzes by but hopefully never ends.
